    R&D Group 1 Specifying and updating of well-being and agency in society

    This R&D group builds the premise of this project, and exposes in a data-driven way the 'well-being' and 'agency' that are valued in today's real society as targets to be given a real sense.

    R&D Group 2 Development and updating the system to discover joy and aspiration in society

    In this R&D group, we develop "intervention" technologies that are essential to reflect 'well-being' and 'agency', which are objectively identified by R&D group 1, in the brain indicators of the subjective 'joy' and 'aspiration'.

    R&D Group 3 Developing technology for inter-personal comparison of joy and aspiration by human brain indicators

    Decomposing 'utility' into 'joy' and 'aspiration’ and maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio of their absolute indicators as much as possible, is key to the success of this project, and this R&D group that realizes this is essential for this project. It will also be an indispensable technology for monitoring and maintaining the effects of the joy and aspiration discovery system related to mobility, which will be developed in R&D group 2.

    R&D Group 4 Comprehensive understanding of utility representation in primate brain for interindividual comparison

    This R&D group, which explains the validity of the brain indicators of utility and their comparison between individuals by ensuring causality through neural activity and its manipulation, is the scientific foundation that gives credibility to the findings of this project.
